So here's what you need:
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 2 tbsp Dawn Olay Hand Renewal Dish Soap
- 8 oz. mason jar
- measuring cup
- measuring spoon
- small mixing bowl
- spoon
The 8 oz. mason jar
Combine 3/4 cup white sugar with 2 tbsp Dawn dish soap
Mix together
This is what yours should look like after mixing
(If it's too thick feel free to add a little more soap)
Spoon the mixture into mason jar
Tada! There you have it your very own moisturizing hand scrub!
Use hand…..
Or spoon…whatever you prefer! Enjoy
Note: I recommend putting on your hands before wetting them, so it doesn't get soupy.
Hi, just wondering if you have to use that particular type of soap?
ReplyDeleteHi Anna,
ReplyDeleteGreat question! I've tried it with other soaps such as body washes and have had great results as well! You just might have to add more or less sugar depending on the consistency of the soap.

Is it supposed to be pasty or lotion-y?
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah,
DeleteMine turned out to be more pasty but I think that's because I had more sugar than soap. If you prefer a more lotion-y consistency you could try adding more soap!

I received this as a gift, I think Dawn was a little rough on my dry skin. I would love to make some, but I need something milder.
ReplyDeleteHi Anne,
DeleteYou can always play around with different kinds of soaps. There are some soaps that are much more mild that you could try mixing with the sugar. Try to make sure the soap you use is moisturizing so it won't be too harsh on your skin!
